From this picture,we can see there are hundreds and thousands of people crowed on the ship, and no more space for anyone. Immigrants have to suffer hungry and tired during the jurney. Some of them were lose their lives on the way to the United States.

AIDS- not someone else’s problem
The article is found in the book named Making Connections by Kenneth J. Pakenham
AIDS (acquired immune- deficiency syndrome) spread among young white homosexual males in the United States since late 1970s. It was regarded as an unknown disease at that time that nobody knew how to treat it.
In recent years, the response to AIDS was reduced in the United States foe three reasons: doctors didn’t think it was a new disease entirely; the Center for Disease Control slowed the reaction to AIDS; and the White House parried the relationships between AIDS and illegal drugs and homosexual sex.
Because of that, researchers began to provide some basic information about AIDS. By the early 1980s, researchers found it is a blood transmitted disease and it will damage the human immune system.
Now, AIDS has become an international epidemic because the increased number of HIV infected and deaths people.
The U.S. government spent much money to provide the information about AIDS. However, most experts thought AIDS was hard to treat because it was difficult to develop an effective vaccine. However, thanks to the recent information we have got already, it seen easy to achieve that goal.
There are three obstacles to developing prevention program: the cost to treat AIDS is high; people don’t want talk about their sexual experiences; and the lack awareness of AIDS.
Experts know that they can’t ignore these obstacles if they want to defeat AIDS.

1. If we increase the cost on health care,the hospital will provide more necessary services.And,the more the health care costs,the less the employers will spend on insurance.

Second,people will live longer,especially older people because they can require more services.

The first chart shows us the “percent of U.S. population by age group”.As opposed tobin contrast to 1950, 2000, and 2050, we can see the persentage of older people is increasing. Meanwhile,the cost on health care will increase.
The second chart gives us the information about the difference between wealthier and poorer contries. From the four comprison(population with access to safe water and sanitation;annual halth spending per person;population per doctor;and persent of children dying befor age 5), we know that the two world have much leeway in health care.

1.In China,government will pay health insurence for staffs,students will be asked to pay for it inculding in their tution,another people will pay it themselves.
2.strengths:As it is expensive to see a doctor, health care system can help you to save money.

summary: On 10 March,2009, BBC said there is new treatment to destroy cancers !Quite different from earlier,it will not change healthy cells but, cancer cells will be taken away by genes.Then the genes will destroy the cancer inside.Therefore,the side effects like loss hair will be reduced.The researcher said this excellent treatment is possible to test in human in two years!
reaction:Though there are hundreds of treatments to destroy cancer cells so far, I think the most effective way to prevent and treat cancer is to have a healthy lifestyle.What’s more,as the result of high-technology imported,it will bring a high consumption in medical charge,what will burden family.Hence,quit bad habits,keep yourself healthy.
